An ACCIONA and Genus Group Joint Venture has been awarded the $1.4 billion HumeLink East contract, which comprises the delivery of 237 kilometres of transmission line from the Bannaby substation to Wondalga. A UGL and CPB Contractors Joint Venture has been awarded the $1.5 billion HumeLink West contract, which comprises the delivery of 148 kilometres of transmission line from the Wagga Wagga substation to Maragle and two new 500kV substations at Gugaa and Maragle. Subject to planning and regulatory approvals, construction for both projects is expected to commence mid-2024.
