AGL reaches agreement with NSW Government over $1.5 billion acquisition of Macquarie Generation

AGL announced this week that it has concluded a $1.5 billion agreement with the New South Wales Government to purchase state-owned power generator, Macquarie Generation (MacGen). In a note to investors this week, AGL also confirmed a $1.2 billion capital raising to partly fund the acquisition. KEY: Government, Energy.
