Rodney Wallis
Executive, Client Coverage, Corporate & Institutional Banking, NAB
Rodney Wallis is National Australia Bank’s Executive, Client Coverage and a member of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Leadership Team. In this role (appointed 2024) Rodney has global responsibility for leading NAB’s relationship banking team which is focused on institutional and corporate client relationships across all industry sectors.
Prior to this, Rodney, who joined NAB in 2020, was the Executive and global lead, responsible for the bank’s activities across Fund Sponsors, Strategic Investors and Alternative Assets (including Infrastructure, Real Estate, Natural Resources and Funds Finance).
Rodney is widely regarded as an industry specialist across key industry sectors, including financial sponsors and alternative assets. As a finance industry leader, Rodney has worked across mergers and acquisitions advisory, equity capital markets, acquisition finance, principal infrastructure investment, asset management, institutional coverage and senior leadership and management roles. Rodney is also a current National Advisory Board Member for Infrastructure Partnerships Australia.
Before joining NAB, Rodney was Managing Director and Australian Head of Resources, Utilities, Infrastructure and Transport for MUFG Bank; and concurrently, the Managing Director and Asia and Oceania Head of Sector Coverage and Acquisition Finance for Utilities, Infrastructure and Transport. In this capacity, he provided oversight and strategic leadership for the Bank’s activities in these sectors across the broader Asia and Oceania regions.
During his career, Rodney has held several other senior investment banking, asset management and institutional banking roles for ANZ Banking Group, Infrastructure Capital Group Ltd. and ABN AMRO Bank NV. He was also previously the Deputy Chairperson for the New South Wales Government State Archives and Records Authority.
As a leader and business strategist, Rodney values integrity, responsibility, professionalism and teamwork.
