Rob leads MUFG’s investment banking businesses in Oceania, with management responsibility for Project Finance, Advisory, ESG Finance, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Securitisation and Funds Finance.

In this role he continues to expand MUFG’s market leading businesses in the region, ensuring the bank’s product capabilities are delivered seamlessly to clients, drawing on MUFG’s leading global positions in these product areas.

Rob has 26 years investment banking experience covering structured finance, acquisitions, advisory and debt capital markets. He has particular sector expertise in energy and infrastructure, where he has been responsible for a number of landmark transactions.

Between 2020 and 2022 he led the Oceania Project Finance business and built the ESG Finance team. He was previously Head of MUFG Advisory in Oceania.

Prior to joining MUFG in 2012, he worked at RBS, ABN AMRO and Bankers Trust. He has worked in Australia and in London, where he specialised in emerging markets including the Former Soviet Union.

Rob is a Deputy Chair of the Fiduciary Board of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia and also serves on the Australian Council of the International Project Finance Association.
