Jason Loos
Deputy Secretary, Economic Policy and State Productivity, Department of Premier and Cabinet Victoria
Jason Loos began in the role of Deputy Secretary of Economic Policy and State Productivity, Department of Premier and Cabinet in June 2023. Jason is responsible for economic policy advice to the Premier and the broader Cabinet on policy issues including economic development, fiscal strategy, regulatory reform, consumer affairs, transport, energy, international engagement, agriculture, and the environment. His Group works in collaboration with relevant departments and agencies to ensure a coordinated and whole of government approach to policy, reform, and projects.
Previously, Jason was the Deputy Secretary, Commercial Division at the Department of Treasury and Finance, where he was responsible for providing strategic commercial, financial and risk management advice to the Victorian Government. He has over 25 years’ experience in policy development, commercial project structuring and delivery of infrastructure projects, including extensive experience in a range of procurement models.
Jason also has significant experience with the corporate governance oversight of Victorian Government Business Enterprises. Jason has an Honours Degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration.
