Social Infrastructure Symposium 2024
The Social Infrastructure Symposium is a timely opportunity to bring together the leaders from across the sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities in delivering the significant social infrastructure pipeline.
Overview
The programme will bring together public and private sector leaders to discuss the delivery of Australia’s vital social infrastructure. The agenda will focus on key issues surrounding the hospital and housing pipelines, including how to effectively schedule, fund, and deliver these projects amidst skill shortages and constrained fiscal resources. The symposium will provide an important platform to address the challenges and explore the opportunities in delivering infrastructure that supports the well-being of Australians.

Panel Discussion – Delivering Australia’s Hospital Pipeline
In recent years, governments have rightly sharpened their focus on ensuring the nation’s health infrastructure is fit for the future and able to cater for a growing and ageing population. The result has been a rapidly expanding hospital build pipeline – but the health infrastructure expansion has not been met with commensurate growth in specialist skills and labour. This panel will explore the key challenges facing the delivery of the pipeline and what is needed to ease pressure and ensure an appropriately sized pipeline can be delivered.
